The First Day of the Ukrainian Pavilion at CES 2025: Grand Opening and Presentation of Technological Achievements
Ukraine once again captures the world's attention with the brilliance of its engineers and their innovations, setting trends in the global arena. Ukrainian technologies have become an integral part of global technological progress: from breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and robotics to eco-focused solutions, they symbolize engineering excellence combined with creativity and bold visions for the development of the global tech ecosystem. On January 7, in Las Vegas, USA, one of the largest and most influential events in the world, the Consumer Electronics Show 2025, kicked off. At the Global Pavilion, under the leadership of DroneUA and Mosqitter, the Ukrainian Pavilion presented Ukraine's ecosystem. This pavilion included teams that have evolved from ambitious startups to well-established businesses.
The first day featured the official opening of the Ukrainian Pavilion with the participation of Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) and Executive Producer of CES. He expressed his support for Ukrainian innovations and gifted the leaders of the Ukrainian teams his authored book, Pivot or Die. In return, the Ukrainian delegation presented the book Ukrainian Faces of War, which showcases photographic accounts of the lives and stories of people in Ukraine amid current challenges.
The Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco, Dmytro Kushneruk, also took part in the opening, emphasizing the importance of strengthening ties between the American and Ukrainian markets and supporting Ukrainian companies in the global economy.
The Pavilion was presented by:
- Oleksandra Afanasieva, Chief Producer and Director of the Ukrainian Pavilion, Co-Founder of BEETLESS, Futurology and DroneUA;
- Anastasiia Romanova, Co-Founder of Mosqitter;
- Valerii Iakovenko, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of DroneUA.
This event marked a new milestone in Ukraine's representation on the global innovation stage. For the first time, Ukraine's tech ecosystem was showcased with a full-fledged pavilion alongside global players and established teams actively competing in international markets.
For the past five years, Ukraine participated in CES through the support of the USAID Competitive Economy Program (USAID CEP), primarily via startup zones and groups of young companies just beginning their journeys. However, this year’s pavilion demonstrated Ukraine's ability not only to generate ideas and innovations but also to compete in mature economic sectors of the global market, starting with the U.S.
Notable participants in the Ukrainian Pavilion included: DroneUA, Mosqitter, FarmFleet, SkyFall, HOWCOW, LUAZ Care, SoftEngi, BlueBird, Ecofactor and Futurology.
Mosqitter, which just a few years ago was a startup, is now a leading company in non-chemical pest control technologies. DroneUA, known for its leadership in integrating robotics, drone, and energy-independent technologies into strategically important sectors of the economy, has solidified its position as a market-making player far beyond Ukraine's borders.
Additionally, Ukraine was traditionally represented at CES 2025 with another pavilion—the startup zone at Eureka Park — featuring the BEETLESS AgTech startup, a partner of DroneUA and Mosqitter. BEETLESS has already showcased its achievements in the U.S., winning the national competition through a rigorous four-stage selection process with nine mandatory criteria. The startup allows farmers worldwide to reduce pesticide dependence by implementing eco-friendly pest control solutions.
The broad representation of Ukraine and the diversity of fields in which the participating companies operate have drawn global attention to Ukraine as a mature economy that continues its dynamic development despite challenges.
Ukraine's resilience, active stance, and implementation of unique innovations continue to impress the global community, positioning the country as a reliable business partner. Despite extremely difficult conditions, Ukraine persists in its developments, supports production, and competes seriously on the global stage.
The first day at CES concluded with both Ukrainian stands becoming hubs for numerous meetings and new partnerships. Three more eventful days of the exhibition lie ahead, and we invite everyone to visit the Ukrainian Pavilion, a true breakthrough at Consumer Electronics Show 2025.
Special thanks to the Ukrainian Pavilion's partners: the Diia.City United business association, the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco, and the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA).
