FAQ
How do I know which spare part is compatible with my Bambu Lab printer?
Use the Compatibility filter on the left side of this page:
- Every spare part in the collection is tagged with compatible printer models — A1, A1 Mini, P1P, P1S, X1C, X1E, H2 Series, P2S, and AMS/AMS Lite variants.
- Filter by your exact model to instantly narrow down to parts that fit your printer.
- Part names also include the model designation — for example "AC Board - A1, A1 Mini" or "Air Filter - P2S" — making identification straightforward.
- If you're unsure which part you need, contact our team with your printer model and a description of the issue — we'll identify the right component for you.
How often should I replace my nozzle?
Nozzle lifespan depends heavily on the filament you print with:
- Brass nozzles with PLA/PETG: Typically last 500–1000 hours of printing before noticeable wear affects print quality.
- Brass nozzles with carbon-fiber or abrasive filaments: Can wear out within 10–50 hours — abrasive materials rapidly erode the soft brass bore.
- Hardened steel nozzles: Designed specifically for abrasive materials — last significantly longer but require slightly higher printing temperatures.
- Signs you need a new nozzle: Inconsistent extrusion, stringing, under-extrusion, or visible damage to the nozzle tip.
- Pro tip: Keep a spare nozzle on hand — replacing one takes under 10 minutes on Bambu Lab printers and immediately restores print quality.
What is the AMS and why might I need AMS spare parts?
The AMS (Automatic Material System) is Bambu Lab's multi-color and multi-material feeding system:
- What it does: Feeds up to 4 different filament spools automatically, enabling multi-color and multi-material printing without manual filament swaps.
- Common wear parts: PTFE adapters and tubes that guide filament are the most frequently replaced AMS components — they wear from filament friction over time.
- AMS vs AMS Lite: The AMS is used with X1 and P1 series printers; AMS Lite is used with A1 and A1 Mini. Parts are not interchangeable between the two systems.
- Maintenance tip: Inspect PTFE tubes regularly for kinks, cracks, or discoloration — degraded PTFE tubes cause feeding failures and print interruptions.
What is an air filter and when should I replace it?
Air filters are essential for enclosed Bambu Lab printers:
- What they do: Capture VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and particulates produced during printing — especially important when printing ABS, ASA, or nylon materials that emit fumes.
- Compatible models: Air filters are available for P1S, P2S, and H2 Series enclosed printers. Open-frame printers like P1P and A1 do not have air filter systems.
- Replacement frequency: Bambu Lab recommends replacing the activated carbon air filter every 200–500 hours of printing or when you notice increased odor during prints.
- Never skip replacement: A saturated air filter stops capturing fumes — you're essentially printing without any filtration. Regular replacement protects both print quality and air quality in your workspace.
I accidentally damaged a part — can I repair my printer myself?
Yes — Bambu Lab printers are designed with self-repair in mind:
- Official repair guides: Bambu Lab provides detailed repair documentation and video tutorials for most spare part replacements in their Wiki.
- Tool requirements: Most repairs require only basic tools — hex keys, tweezers, and in some cases a soldering iron for electronic components.
- Difficulty levels: Consumable replacements (nozzles, PTFE tubes, build plates, filters) are beginner-friendly. Electronic board replacements require more care but are well-documented.
- Warranty note: Using official Bambu Lab spare parts for self-repair does not void your warranty — using third-party components may affect warranty coverage.
- Need help? Contact our team and we'll guide you through the repair process or help identify the correct replacement part for your situation.
What is the difference between spare parts for H2 Series and other Bambu Lab printers?
The H2 Series is Bambu Lab's industrial/enterprise line — distinct from the consumer X1, P1, and A1 series:
- Higher-spec components: H2 Series parts (AC boards, air filters, exhaust systems) are engineered for continuous industrial-grade operation and higher duty cycles.
- Not cross-compatible: H2 Series spare parts are generally not interchangeable with X1, P1, or A1 series components — always verify compatibility before ordering.
- Broader component range: The H2 Series has more replaceable subsystems than consumer printers, including dedicated chamber management and advanced exhaust components.
- Identifying H2 parts: All H2-compatible parts are clearly labeled "H2 Series" in the product name — use the Compatibility filter to browse H2-specific components exclusively.
- Enterprise support: If you operate H2 Series printers in a production environment and need bulk spare parts or service contracts, contact our team for enterprise purchasing options.
