• Why it matters: Ordering the wrong type means the flange won't fit the column — always confirm before purchasing.

Each letter corresponds to a different spline geometry:

• Spline count: Different types have a different number of teeth around the shaft.
• Spline diameter: The outer and inner diameter of the spline profile varies between types.
• Tooth profile: The shape and depth of each tooth differs — even flanges that look similar externally may not be interchangeable.
• Practical result: Two flanges from different letter types will not fit the same column — the spline type must match your tractor exactly.

Compatibility varies by flange type:

• Most flanges are APC1-specific — designed for the original APC1 AutoPilot Console steering wheel.
• Spline type F is compatible with both APC1 and APC2 — it is the only dual-compatible option in the current range.
