As part of efforts to strengthen transatlantic ties and develop new formats of cooperation between the Ukrainian innovation ecosystem and the American business community, Emory Morsberger, Executive Director of Gateway85 CID, and Olga Gorman, Director of Community Development at Gateway85 CID and coordinator of the HelpingUkraine initiative, visited Futurology’s Ukrainian representative office — DroneUA — in Kyiv on June 11.
Strengthening the Ukraine–U.S. technology partnership
The visit confirmed the strong interest of American institutions in the potential of Ukrainian solutions and continued the established cooperation between the DroneUA and Gateway85 CID teams.
The foundation for this Ukraine–U.S. partnership was established through previous joint initiatives, including the Launch Pad Tech Collaboration Event in Atlanta and the “Select Georgia: Taking Off from the U.S.–Ukraine Tech Launchpad” side event of the Ukrainian delegation at SelectUSA 2025 in Washington, D.C.
These initiatives established the foundation for cooperation that combines Ukrainian technological developments with U.S. infrastructure, institutional support, and market opportunities.
New opportunities for Ukrainian technology companies
The visit of the American delegation focused on discussing opportunities to open representative offices of Ukrainian technology companies in Georgia, launch joint initiatives to promote Ukrainian technologies in the United States, and participate in the development of a platform for economic and technological diplomacy between the two countries.
“We want to see companies like DroneUA among Gateway85’s technology residents,” said Emory Morsberger.
“This is mutually beneficial cooperation: the United States gains access to unique engineering solutions, while Ukrainian companies gain new opportunities to scale in a safe and open environment.”
Gateway85 CID as a strategic partner

The organization creates new opportunities for Ukrainian businesses by supporting their integration into the American technology ecosystem and supply chains.
The primary purpose of Emory Morsberger’s visit to Kyiv was to deepen the strategic dialogue on the long-term presence of Ukrainian companies in the U.S. market through the establishment of engineering and service operations and integration into local economic clusters.
The meeting also had an important public diplomacy component. It laid the groundwork for a future visit by a Georgia economic development delegation to Ukraine and initiated a broader program designed to introduce American opinion leaders to the Ukrainian context, technological potential, and values.
Meeting with Skyeton
Representatives of Skyeton, a company specializing in the production of Raybird unmanned aerial systems for commercial and military applications and bringing 19 years of experience in the aviation industry, also visited the DroneUA office to meet with representatives of Gateway85 CID.
Humanitarian partnership through HelpingUkraine
Alongside its economic initiatives, the Gateway85 team actively supports Ukrainian projects through the HelpingUkraine Foundation.
During more than three years of cooperation, critical equipment, including medical supplies, generators, ambulances, and water purification systems, has been delivered to the regions most affected by the war.
Supporting humanitarian initiatives remains an important part of Emory Morsberger’s mission and reflects Gateway85’s long-term commitment to strengthening Ukraine’s stability and resilience.
