In July 2025, Futurology is officially launching the New Materials & Product Design Lab — a specialized facility that will serve as the main platform for research and development in additive manufacturing, testing of new materials, and validation of design solutions.

The lab is located in Newtown, Pennsylvania, and has been designed as a strategic center to support the company’s two key areas — Futurology’s large-scale production ecosystem and its educational initiatives. By combining advanced materials science methods, digital prototyping, and automated quality verification processes, the New Materials & Product Design Lab team will be able to rapidly adapt engineering projects to market needs, helping partners shorten the development cycle from concept to mass production.

The lab’s main objectives include developing and testing innovative composites and polymers for additive technologies, validating design solutions under real operating conditions, and creating recommendations to optimize production processes. As part of its activities, the lab also plans to expand partnership programs with engineering companies, educational institutions, and startups interested in implementing digital manufacturing.

“The opening of the New Materials & Product Design Lab is an important step in implementing our strategy for developing production and training solutions. This lab will enable us to combine deep R&D expertise with practical tools for scaling innovation. We are creating an environment that integrates engineering analysis, next-generation materials experimentation, and high-precision design validation. For our clients and partners, it means access to a unique ecosystem where development, testing, and production preparation take place in one space — without losing time or quality,” said Valerii Iakovenko, Managing Partner at Futurology.

In the coming months, the lab will begin the phased rollout of testing programs, pilot projects, and consulting initiatives for clients and partners. The launch of the New Materials & Product Design Lab will lay the foundation for building an integrated infrastructure that unites product development, staff training, and large-scale production in a single environment.
