In July 2025, Futurology officially launched the New Materials & Product Design Lab, a specialized facility that serves as the company's primary platform for research and development in additive manufacturing, advanced materials testing, and product design validation.

Located in Newtown, Pennsylvania, the lab has been established as a strategic center supporting Futurology's two core directions: its large-scale production ecosystem and educational initiatives.

By combining advanced materials science, digital prototyping, and automated quality verification, the New Materials & Product Design Lab enables engineering teams to rapidly adapt new products to market requirements, helping partners shorten the development cycle from concept to mass production.

Key objectives of the laboratory

  • Research and testing of innovative polymers and composite materials for additive manufacturing.
  • Validation of product designs under real operating conditions.
  • Development of recommendations for optimizing manufacturing processes.
  • Expansion of collaboration with engineering companies, educational institutions, and technology startups.

“The opening of the New Materials & Product Design Lab is an important step in implementing our strategy for developing production and training solutions. This lab will enable us to combine deep R&D expertise with practical tools for scaling innovation. We are creating an environment that integrates engineering analysis, next-generation materials experimentation, and high-precision design validation. For our clients and partners, it means access to a unique ecosystem where development, testing, and production preparation take place in one space — without losing time or quality.”

Valerii Iakovenko, Managing Partner at Futurology.

Looking ahead

Over the coming months, the laboratory will begin the phased implementation of testing programs, pilot projects, and consulting services for customers and partners.

The launch of the New Materials & Product Design Lab establishes the foundation for an integrated ecosystem that combines product development, workforce training, and scalable manufacturing within a single innovation environment.
