The third day of the Ukrainian Pavilion, which took place on 9 January at the most influential exhibition in the field of innovative technologies - CES 2025 in Las Vegas - was the equator in presenting domestic achievements and innovative developments in the field of the latest unmanned aerial systems, modern solutions for people with disabilities, digital transformation technologies and artificial intelligence. It was the day that defined new partnerships and finalised deals that will bring new investments to Ukraine.
Achievements of Ukrainian teams and new opportunities
The Ukrainian pavilion was the focus of attention for delegations specialising in demonstrating innovations in various industries. The world community was particularly interested in drones developed and produced by Ukrainian engineers. Undoubtedly, the global community associates drone technology with Ukraine, which demonstrates rapid growth and huge potential for further growth. The companies participating in the Ukrainian pavilion impressed representatives of teams from other countries with their high level of development.
This year's CES has been extremely successful for Ukrainian teams, especially for those who already have experience of participating in similar events.
Mosqitter, which is participating in CES for the fifth time, continues to show impressive results. Last year, the company presented the new Mosquito Mini solution, a compact version of the Mosquito Grand, and this year it attracted even more attention, receiving numerous requests for cooperation. The company's developments are in high demand on the global market, as the solution has become particularly relevant in light of the recent outbreaks of Zika and West Nile viruses in the United States. Mosquitter's solutions ensure the safety of families and the B2B segment in North and South America, as well as in other countries, strengthening Ukraine's reputation as a leader in healthcare and pest control.
FarmFleet and HOWCOWconfirmed the trend towards sustainability in agri-tech and agricultural innovation, demonstrating Ukraine's in-depth expertise and strong position in this area.
SoftEngi presented its Software-as-a-Service platform, which is an effective solution for teams seeking grant support. Its integration with US accelerators, which are presented at the US stand in Eureka Park, has opened up new opportunities for cooperation with the US government and prospects for partnership between the two countries in general.
Ecofactor presented an interactive charging station for electric vehicles, which aroused great interest among visitors and media representatives alike. The demonstration of the development became one of the most visited moments of the pavilion.
LUAZ Care has presented a unique development - an electric vehicle for people with disabilities with an integrated wheelchair in the driver's seat. LUAZ Care vehicles provide autonomous mobility for users and are highly competitive in terms of price in the global market.
At CES 2025, Ukrainian companies once again proved that Ukraine is a global leader in innovation and technology. The achievements of domestic engineers were also presented at the Ukrainian pavilion: DroneUA, SkyFall, BlueBird and Futurology.
Success of partner AgTech startup BEETLESS in Eureka Park
The third day of the event was also crucial for the Ukrainian startup pavilion at CES 2025 in Eureka Park. In particular, BEETLESS was at the centre of the world's attention, meeting with potential partners from the US, Canada, and Korea. The startup team has received a large number of requests for R&D cooperation with academic institutions, which opens up new horizons for research, technology development and the dissemination of an innovative approach to environmentally friendly and safe pest control.
A special achievement for BEETLESS was the recognition of the startup by the CES Broadcasting Network. Among hundreds of teams, BEETLESS was selected to participate in a live pitch, during which it will demonstrate an innovative solution in the field of Sustainable Farming. The main focus of the development is based on non-chemical plant protection, as well as environmentally friendly, healthy and safe approaches for agriculture. BEETLESS solutions highlight Ukraine's potential to create sustainable agricultural technologies for the world.
Ukrainian innovations on the stage of the Japanese pavilion JETRO
A bright spot for the Ukrainian pavilion at CES 2025 was the participation of DroneUA in a pitch at the Japanese pavilion organised by the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO). The event is of great importance for Ukraine as a whole, as DroneUA and JETRO already cooperate in Ukraine. The company's participation in the event opened up new prospects for expanding the partnership to the US market. The team became one of the 6 most innovative companies from all over the world to be represented at CES 2025 and was honoured to present their projects on the stage of the Japanese Pavilion.
In his speech, Valerii Iakovenko, co-founder and managing partner of DroneUA, spoke about the Ukrainian experience of using robotics in various industries, shared the successes of domestic engineers in global markets, and presented the Ukrainian technological ecosystem, focusing on its role for the global community.
“For 11 years of our active work, we have been using unmanned technologies in a variety of areas: in the agricultural sector, energy, and geodetic surveys. And today, we have grown so much that we have created several companies under our brand that provide solutions to challenges in sectors that are strategically important to the economy. As a business, at CES 2025, we took on the role of bringing other entrepreneurs and companies under our wing. The exhibition features impressive start-ups and mature, established businesses across two pavilions”.
In particular, analysing the experience and benefits of using drones in Ukraine, Valerii Iakovenko said:
“Our work has always been related to industrial applications. If we talk about industries, the agricultural sector is our favourite area. No one knows that Ukraine is the largest market using drones in agriculture, nor that the Ukrainian market is bigger than the entire European market combined. Today, Ukraine produces more drones than anyone else in the world. The production of drones and their components in Ukraine exceeds even China”.
To date, Ukraine has processed more than 7.5 million acres with drones over the past few years. This is undoubtedly one of the largest industrial applications of drones in the world. Indeed, DroneUA’s parent company founded FarmFleet, which has grown from a young startup into a mature business. Inspired by the Japanese experience of drone spraying, FarmFleet scaled this concept to global markets. The aforementioned BEETLESS startup — using safe pest control technology through robotics — is also a joint project by DroneUA in partnership with Mosqitter.
The event featured an art performance by Japanese artist Mitsumi, who created a unique design that echoed the tactics of the “Robotics” presentation using analogue and digital art. The interactive part with the artist's participation attracted special attention of the audience, emphasising the creative approach to technology.
DroneUA's participation in the pitch at the Japanese pavilion was extremely valuable for the Ukrainian pavilion, allowing it to demonstrate the achievements of Ukrainian engineers to a wide audience, including the Japanese delegation and representatives of other countries.
We would like to express our gratitude to the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and our colleagues from Japan for their support and opening new horizons for cooperation. We would also like to thank the partners of the Ukrainian Pavilion: Diia.City United business union, the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco, and the Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (UVCA).
The Ukrainian pavilion continues to demonstrate unique innovative solutions, strengthening Ukraine's reputation as a leader in the field of cutting-edge technologies. We invite you to visit the stands of the participating teams on the final day of CES 2025 on 10 January.
