PC-Transparent is a Bambu Lab 3D printing filament designed for projects that require a clear or translucent visual appearance. The neutral finish allows light to pass through printed sections, making the material suitable for covers, enclosures, prototypes, decorative models, lighting elements, and presentation pieces.

The final level of transparency can depend on the geometry of the model, wall thickness, layer direction, infill, printing settings, and post-processing. For this reason, PC-Transparent can produce different visual effects ranging from softly translucent surfaces to clearer sections that allow shapes or light to remain visible through the print.

Transparent and Translucent Designs

PC-Transparent is suitable for models where the internal structure is intended to remain partially visible. The filament can be used for protective-looking covers, housings, demonstration parts, containers, display components, prototypes, and decorative objects.

The neutral appearance also makes PC-Transparent useful for lighting-inspired projects. Printing Preparation

Select settings appropriate for the printer, nozzle, build surface, and model geometry. Use the manufacturer’s recommended PC-Transparent filament profile whenever available. A clean build surface, correct bed leveling, and suitable slicer settings can help support consistent results.

Print a small test piece before starting a large model. Testing different wall thicknesses, layer heights, infill settings, and print orientations can help determine which combination produces the desired balance between transparency and structural appearance.

Layer lines and surface texture can scatter light, so printed parts should not automatically be expected to match the optical clarity of glass or molded transparent plastic. Post-processing may change the appearance, but any method should first be tested on a small sample.

Storage and Care

Store PC-Transparent in a dry, sealed container when it is not being used. Protection from moisture helps maintain consistent extrusion and surface quality. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations for storage, drying, printer configuration, and material handling.
