Recommended Printing Settings

Bambu Lab PLA Silk+ has a standard diameter of 1.75 mm and a net filament weight of 1 kg. The material supports 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 mm nozzles. Bambu Lab recommends a nozzle temperature of 210–240°C and a bed temperature of 35–45°C. The recommended printing speed is below 250 mm/s.

Actual printing settings may vary depending on the printer, nozzle size, build plate, model geometry, layer height, and required surface finish. Slower outer-wall speeds may help emphasize the smooth silk effect on detailed models.

Storage and Preparation

Store the filament in a sealed container with desiccant and maintain humidity below 20% RH. If the material has absorbed moisture, Bambu Lab recommends drying it at 55°C for eight hours before printing. Proper storage helps maintain consistent extrusion, layer adhesion, and surface gloss.
