The Bambu Lab X2D is an enclosed dual-nozzle FDM 3D printer designed to make multi-material printing, clean support removal and precision production easier. It combines mechanical nozzle switching, intelligent extrusion control, active chamber heating and AI-assisted monitoring in a compact desktop platform.

Advanced Printing Without the Usual Complexity

The X2D brings flagship Bambu Lab automation to dual-nozzle printing. The main nozzle handles the model while the auxiliary nozzle can handle support or a secondary material, reducing difficult post-processing and enabling cleaner multi-material workflows.

Dual-Nozzle System

Mechanical nozzle switching enables separate model and support materials without adding another motor to the moving toolhead.

PMSM Servo Extruder

The proprietary servo system monitors torque and position at high frequency to maintain stable extrusion and identify filament-feed problems early.

Dynamic Flow Calibration

The printer calibrates the extrusion system before printing and compensates for changes caused by nozzle condition, filament and operating variables.

Dual-Intake Cooling

The cooling architecture is designed to improve overhangs, bridges and fine surface details while printing common materials.

Active Chamber Heating

The chamber can be actively heated to 65°C to support stronger adhesion and more stable printing with engineering materials.

AI Monitoring

AI cameras check plate placement and debris before printing, then monitor for issues such as spaghetti, nozzle clumping and purge-chute jams.

Indoor Air Filtration

Three-stage filtration combines a G3 pre-filter, H12 HEPA filter and coconut-shell activated carbon layer.

Certified Low Emissions

X2D is UL 2904 certified for indoor air quality when printing with Bambu PLA Basic and PETG Basic.

Multi-Material Printing

Cleaner Supports, Less Manual Finishing

The main direct-drive nozzle is optimized for precise model printing. The auxiliary extrusion system can handle support or a secondary material, allowing supports to separate more cleanly and reducing visible marks on completed parts.
