About
Unitree H2 EDU Smart G
Full-size 182 cm humanoid research platform with dual BrainCo Revo 2 Touch tactile dexterous hands, 43 total DOF, 50 N grip force, 0.1° repeatability, wrist RGB cameras and expandable onboard compute.
Advanced Tactile Five-Finger Manipulation
Unitree Robotics, a recognized leader in advanced robotics innovation, presents the H2 EDU Smart G — a full-size, 182 cm humanoid robot that combines the power of the H2 platform with advanced five-finger dexterous manipulation and tactile sensing. This model, part of the H2 EDU Smart series, is engineered for cutting-edge research in embodied AI, dexterous manipulation, and human-robot interaction.
BrainCo Revo 2 Touch Dexterous Hands
Building on the foundation of the H2 EDU Standard, the Smart G variant is equipped with two BrainCo Revo 2 Touch Five-Finger Dexterous Hands with tactile feedback. Each hand features 6 degrees of freedom with 11 joints, delivering precise and reliable manipulation for a wide range of research applications.
The hands deliver a 50 N total grip force and a 15 N single-finger pinch force. With a repeatability of 0.1° and a compact height of 160 mm from the middle fingertip to the base of the palm, they support accurate and repeatable object handling.
Comprehensive Tactile Feedback
The advanced tactile system provides pressure, friction, direction, and proximity feedback. This combination enables nuanced and delicate object handling for sophisticated manipulation, contact-aware grasping, and haptics research.
Wrist-Mounted RGB Cameras
Each hand includes a wrist-mounted RGB camera with a 130° diagonal field of view and 1920 × 1080 resolution, delivering high-quality visual feedback for close-up perception during fine manipulation tasks.
43 Degrees of Freedom
The H2 EDU Smart G features 43 total degrees of freedom: 6 per leg, 7 per arm, 3 at the waist, 2 at the head, and 6 per dexterous hand. This configuration combines whole-body mobility with detailed tactile five-finger manipulation.
Expandable Computing Platform
The robot includes an Intel Core i5 processor for platform functionality and an Intel Core i7 processor for user development. Empty PC3 and PC4 slots support optional upgrades such as NVIDIA Jetson Thor or Intel Core i7 + NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX for demanding AI workloads.
High-Torque Whole-Body Actuation
Constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum, titanium alloy, and high-strength engineering plastics, the H2 EDU Smart G combines durability with an approximate weight of 70 kg. Its joint motors deliver up to 360 N·m in the legs and 120 N·m in the arms, while industrial-grade cross-roller bearings ensure high precision and load capacity.
Perception, Interaction and Connectivity
The robot features a bionic head and face, wide-field-of-view humanoid binocular cameras, array microphones, and high-power speakers. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support integration into modern research environments.
Full Secondary Development
The H2 EDU Smart G supports full secondary development through open APIs, deep system access, and SDK support for ROS2, Python, and C++.
