About
Unitree H2 EDU Smart H
Full-size 182 cm humanoid research platform with dual Inspire DFQ five-finger dexterous hands, 43 total DOF, precise force control, high-speed finger motion, wrist RGB cameras and expandable onboard compute.
Advanced Five-Finger Dexterity
Unitree Robotics, a recognized leader in advanced robotics innovation, presents the H2 EDU Smart H — a full-size, 182 cm humanoid robot that combines the power of the H2 platform with advanced five-finger dexterous manipulation. This model, part of the H2 EDU Smart series, is engineered for cutting-edge research in embodied AI, dexterous manipulation, and human-robot interaction.
Inspire DFQ Dexterous Hands
Building on the foundation of the H2 EDU Standard, the Smart H variant is equipped with two Inspire DFQ Five-Finger Dexterous Hands without tactile feedback. Each hand features 6 degrees of freedom with 12 joints, delivering precise and reliable manipulation for a wide range of research applications.
The hands offer a maximum grip force of 6 N for the thumb and 4 N for the four fingers, with a grip force resolution of 0.50 N. Repeatability of ±0.20 mm supports consistent and accurate positioning.
Fast and Responsive Finger Motion
The thumb provides a lateral rotation range greater than 65°, a lateral swing speed of 235°/s, and a bending speed of 150°/s. The four fingers achieve a bending speed of 570°/s for rapid and responsive movements.
Wrist-Mounted RGB Cameras
Each hand includes a wrist-mounted RGB camera with a 130° diagonal field of view and 1920 × 1080 resolution, delivering high-quality close-up visual feedback during fine manipulation tasks.
43 Degrees of Freedom
The H2 EDU Smart H features 43 total degrees of freedom: 6 per leg, 7 per arm, 3 at the waist, 2 at the head, and 6 per dexterous hand.
Expandable Computing Platform
The robot includes an Intel Core i5 processor for platform functionality and an Intel Core i7 processor for user development. Empty PC3 and PC4 slots support optional upgrades such as NVIDIA Jetson Thor or Intel Core i7 + NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX.
High-Torque Whole-Body Actuation
Constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum, titanium alloy, and high-strength engineering plastics, the H2 EDU Smart H combines durability with an approximate weight of 70 kg. Its joint motors deliver up to 360 N·m in the legs and 120 N·m in the arms.
Perception, Interaction and Connectivity
The robot features a bionic head and face, wide-field-of-view humanoid binocular cameras, array microphones, and high-power speakers. Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 support integration into modern research environments.
Full Secondary Development
The H2 EDU Smart H supports full secondary development through open APIs, deep system access, and SDK support for ROS2, Python, and C++.
