About
Unitree H2 Plus Ultimate-D
Full-size 182 cm humanoid robot with dual Dex5-1 dexterous hands, 63 total DOF, 16 active DOF per hand, 1000 Hz communication, NVIDIA Jetson Thor AI compute, wrist RGB cameras and full secondary development support.
Ultimate AI Compute with Advanced 16-DOF Dexterity
Unitree Robotics presents the H2 Plus Ultimate-D — a full-size 182 cm humanoid robot combining flagship AI computing with advanced dexterous manipulation. As part of the H2 Plus Ultimate series, this configuration is engineered for demanding research in embodied AI, robotic manipulation and human–robot interaction.
Built on the H2 Plus Smart platform, the Ultimate-D integrates two Dex5-1 Dexterous Hands without tactile feedback. Each hand provides 16 active degrees of freedom, with 4 DOF in the thumb and 3 DOF in each of the remaining four fingers, enabling precise articulation for complex manipulation tasks.
What's in This Configuration
Dex5-1 Hands — 16 Active DOF for Complex Manipulation
Each Dex5-1 hand provides 16 active degrees of freedom, including 4 DOF in the thumb and 3 DOF in each of the other four fingers. The four fingers also support a side-swing range of ±22°, enabling a broader variety of grasp configurations and finger placements.
The hand delivers a fingertip force of 10 N, a repeatability of ±1 mm and a minimum grip diameter of 10 mm. These characteristics support controlled interaction with small objects while maintaining consistent hand positioning across repeated tasks.
Wide Joint Ranges with Lateral Finger Motion
The thumb joint ranges are J0: -33.5° to 39°, J1: 0° to 100°, J2: 0° to 110° and J3: 0° to 92°. The remaining fingers provide J0: -22° to 22°, J1: 0° to 90°, J2: 0° to 95° and J3: 0° to 81°, with J3 coupled to J2.
1000 Hz Communication for Real-Time Control
A communication rate of 1000 Hz provides high-speed command and feedback exchange for responsive hand operation. The hand uses a USB 2.0 interface and operates across a voltage range of 24–60 V.
Power consumption is specified at 58 V and 0.2 A under static conditions and up to 58 V and 3 A at maximum current. The supported temperature range extends from -20°C to 60°C.
Defined Load Capacity Across Hand Orientations
The Dex5-1 hand supports a maximum load of 3.5 kg with the palm facing down and up to 4.5 kg with the palm facing left. These ratings define the supported hand load across different operating orientations.
Wrist-Mounted RGB Cameras for Close-Range Perception
Each Dex5-1 hand includes a wrist-mounted RGB camera with 1920 × 1080 resolution and a diagonal field of view of 130°. These cameras provide detailed visual feedback near the end effectors during fine manipulation and grasp verification.
63 Degrees of Freedom — Advanced Whole-Body Dexterity
The H2 Plus Ultimate-D provides 63 total degrees of freedom: 6 per leg, 7 per arm, 3 at the waist, 2 at the head and 16 in each dexterous hand. This configuration combines dynamic whole-body motion with detailed hand articulation for complex bimanual manipulation and interaction research.
NVIDIA Jetson Thor — Ultimate Onboard AI Compute
The standard PC3 computing module is an NVIDIA Jetson Thor delivering 2070 TFLOPS of FP4 sparse AI performance. Its 2560-core NVIDIA Blackwell architecture GPU with 5th Generation Tensor Cores is paired with a 14-core Arm Neoverse-V3AE 64-bit CPU operating at 2.6 GHz and 128 GB of LPDDR5X memory with 273 GB/s bandwidth.
The robot also includes an Intel Core i5 processor for platform functionality and an Intel Core i7 processor for user development. An empty PC4 slot is reserved for an optional Intel Core i7 module selected at the time of purchase.
High-Torque Joints. Industrial-Grade Precision.
Low-inertia, high-speed inner-rotor permanent magnet synchronous motors provide up to 120 N·m of torque in the arm joints and up to 360 N·m in the leg joints. Industrial-grade cross-roller bearings support high precision and load capacity, while the arms provide an approximate rated payload of 7 kg and a peak payload of approximately 15 kg.
Aerospace-Grade Construction & Quick-Swap Power
The robot is constructed from aerospace-grade aluminum, titanium alloy and high-strength engineering plastics. It weighs approximately 70 kg with battery and uses an air-cooled thermal design. The 15 Ah, 0.972 kWh smart battery operates at up to 75.6 V and provides approximately 3 hours of runtime. Its quick-release design supports practical battery replacement during research and testing.
Stereo Vision & Natural Human–Robot Interaction
A bionic head and face are combined with wide-field-of-view humanoid stereo cameras covering 140° horizontally and 102° vertically. Array microphones and high-power speakers support voice interaction and natural human–robot communication.
Connectivity, Interfaces & Open Development
The H2 Plus Ultimate-D supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and smart OTA updates. External interfaces include USB 3.0, USB-DP, GMSL, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 2.0, RS485, CAN and dedicated 12 V, 24 V and battery power outputs.
Full secondary development is supported through open APIs and an SDK compatible with ROS2, Python and C++. Deep system access allows researchers to build custom perception, control, manipulation and embodied AI workflows directly on the platform.
