About
VR Full-Body Teleoperation adds an immersive VR control layer to compatible Unitree humanoid robots, allowing an operator to control full-body movements through mapped body motion.
Designed for robotics research, education, demonstrations, telepresence, and controlled testing, the system connects operator movements with the robot's motion while providing a supervised teleoperation workflow.
Compatibility Requirement
Requires a compatible Unitree G1 EDU+ (U2) or higher model required. The robot is not included in the $3,999 price.
Key Features:
- Full-Body Motion Mapping — maps the operator's body movements to the humanoid robot, supporting coordinated control of the upper and lower body.
- Immersive VR Control — provides an immersive operator interface through a compatible VR headset for real-time teleoperation.
- Walking & Locomotion Control — supports full-body teleoperation including bipedal walking and lower-body movement on compatible platforms.
- Arm & Hand Control — enables mapped control of the robot's arms and hands, with supported functionality depending on the robot's installed hand configuration.
- Motion Data & Session Recording — teleoperation sessions can be recorded and replayed for research, analysis, training, and workflow development.
- Configurable Safety Boundaries — supports defined operating zones and configurable safety limits as part of a supervised deployment setup.
What's Included:
- PICO 4 Ultra Headset
- 2× PICO 4 Ultra Motion Controllers
- 2× PICO Swift Ankle Trackers
- Custom teleoperation software
Technical Integration:
Custom software maps human skeletal coordinates to the robot's joint coordinates using the NVIDIA GR00T Whole-Body Control framework and Unitree SDK.
Applications:
- Research & Development — capture human motion data, prototype teleoperation workflows, and explore human-to-robot motion transfer.
- Robotics Education — use immersive teleoperation to teach human-robot interaction, robot control, and teleoperation concepts.
- Remote Demonstrations — showcase humanoid robot capabilities through an immersive operator experience.
- Telepresence — explore remote interaction with compatible humanoid platforms in controlled environments.
- Training & Simulation — record and replay teleoperation sessions for operator training, analysis, and research.
- Controlled Inspection — operate a compatible humanoid robot for selected inspection tasks where the environment and network conditions meet technical requirements.
Compatibility:
Compatible Unitree G1 EDU+ (U2) or higher model required.
Deployment Requirements:
- Compatible Unitree humanoid robot
- Supported hardware configuration
- Controlled indoor environment
- Trained operator
- Appropriate safety setup
- Qualified network connection for internet-based teleoperation
Important
Internet-based teleoperation is subject to network qualification. Deployment requires a controlled indoor environment, a trained operator, and appropriate safety setup.
